Gujarat completes over 44% of average monsoon rainfall

Gandhinagar: Gujarat has received 391.09 mm of rainfall this monsoon season so far, which is 44.29% of the average annual rainfall, according to data from the State Emergency Operation Center as of 6 a.m. today.

The Saurashtra region has experienced the highest rainfall at 66.13%, followed by Kutch with 58.40%. South Gujarat has received 50.16% of its average rainfall, while North Gujarat and East Central Gujarat have seen approximately 24.02% and 24.90%, respectively.

Valsad district in South Gujarat has recorded the most rainfall this season, with 1253.50 mm, followed by Junagadh at 1099.5 mm and Navsari at 1097.67 mm.

Out of 251 talukas, twenty-three have received more than 1,000 mm of rainfall.
