Another lion dies after getting hit by moving train in Amreli

Amreli: A lion died late Wednesday night after colliding with a passenger train on railway tracks near Bhesan village, between Lilia and Damnagar.
The lion came onto the track late at night and was injured after being struck by the passing Mahuva-Surat Superfast Express train. A team from the Liliya Forest Department rushed to the scene as soon as the incident was reported. The lion was taken to the Animal Care Center in a bleeding condition, where it succumbed to severe injuries.
Shetrunji Division DCF Jayan Patel said that the lion died due to a collision with a passenger train at night. The investigation is ongoing and will determine how the lion reached the tracks and the speed of the train at the time of the collision.
