Dahod: The Local Crime Branch of Dahod Police on Monday arrested Dahod Taluka Youth Congress President Sunil Ramsinh Baria after seizing foreign liquor worth around Rs. 5,000 from his house during a raid.

Baria is a resident of Tindori Faliya in Usarwan village, Dahod. Acting on a tip-off, the LCB conducted a raid at his house on July 27th and recovered a stash of foreign liquor and beer. Following this, the Dahod Town B Division Police registered a case against him and declared him wanted, after which he was arrested on Monday.

It is learnt that Sunil Baria had previously worked as a constable in TRB in Dahod. After receiving complaints about his misconduct during duty, the Dahod District Police Chief relieved him of his responsibilities. A similar prohibition case had also been registered against Baria earlier.

It is also noteworthy that when Rahul Gandhi’s Nyaya Yatra passed through Dahod city, Baria was seen welcoming him. Posters featuring senior Congress leader and Baria were visible throughout Dahod city at that time. DeshGujarat
