Very heavy rain likely in these parts of Gujarat; IMD issues orange alert for next 48 hours

Surat: The Indian Meteorological Department, in its latest forecast, has predicted heavy rains for some places in South Gujarat during the next two days and has issued an orange alert for these areas. Meanwhile, light to moderate rain is likely to occur across the state until August 4th.
During the next 24 hours, an orange alert is in place for Surat, Navsari, Valsad, and Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, as heavy to very heavy rains are very likely to occur in these places.
A yellow warning for likely heavy rains has been issued for Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Narmada, Bharuch, Dang, Tapi, and in Kutch district.
On August 3rd, an orange alert is in place for Surat, Navsari, Valsad, and Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, as heavy to very heavy rains in isolated places with extremely heavy falls are likely to occur there. Moreover, Narmada, Bharuch, Dang, Tapi, Amreli, and Bhavnagar are also on orange alert with likely very heavy rainfall.
A yellow warning of heavy rain has been issued for Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Panchmahal, Dahod, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Kutch, and Diu.
On August 4th, although no red or orange alert is in place, heavy rains are very likely in Banaskantha, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Bhavnagar. DeshGujarat
