Gandhinagar: ‘At present 12981/12982 Asarva – Jaipur Express is operating with maximum permissible load of 22 LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches including 04 general class coaches. At present, Ahmedabad -Delhi sector is being served by 8 pairs of trains while Udaipur-Mumbai sector is served by 2 pairs of trains. Railway Minister said this in reply in Lok Sabha in reply to member Rajkumar Raot’s questions – whether the Government proposes to introduce Vande Bharat Express
on Ahmedabad-Dungarpur-Udaipur-Jaipur route as per demand; whether the Government proposes to add additional general coaches in presently operating 12982 Asarva-Jaipur Superfast train in view of overcrowding passenger burden; and whether the Government proposes to introduce new trains on Ahmedabad-Delhi via Udaipur and Udaipur-Mumbai via Dungarpur routes.
