Ahmedabad: The electrification work on the rail route between Ahmedabad's Asarva and Udaipur in Rajasthan has been completed. Following successful trials with AC electric locomotives by Western Railway and North Western Railway, the railway department has decided to operate passenger trains using electric power. Peepli: A kilometers-long traffic jam occurred on the Udaipur-Shamlaji section of National Highway 48 near the Peepli area as the highway became inundated and waterlogged due to heavy rains and the overflowing of a lake in Kesariyaji.
