Vadodara: The cultural capital of Gujarat, Vadodara city is once again all set to welcome thousands of murtis of Ganesh as the Ganesh Chaturthi festival is going to start from September 7. The installations of Ganesh murtis will take place from September 7 and Ganesh Utsav will continue till September 17 at 100s of venues. The city police held a meeting with Ganesh Utsav mandals and requested that all processions of welcoming Ganesh Murti should take place during 1st to 7th of September. The Ganesh mandals have suspended the plans to hold Ganesh welcoming processions till August 16 for now as the city police is unable to provide required bandobast in view of the Independence Day which is 15th of August.
