Indigo plane suffers bird-hit at Ahmedabad airport, grounded for repair

Ahmedabad: Another aircraft suffered bird-hit at Ahmedabad’s Sardar Patel international airport on Friday. An Indigo plane from Mumbai with 140 passengers on board faced bird hit when it was doing final approach for landing at Ahmedabad airport. The Air Traffic Control(ATC) was informed about bird-hit and the aircraft was safely landed and parked. As the frontal nose portion suffered damage, the aircraft was grounded. The same aircraft was to fly on Ahmedabad – Hyderabad route. The passengers to Hyderabad were shifted in Ahmedabad – Lucknow flight which had fewer passenger for Luckow who were shifted to another connecting flight. DeshGujarat
