Amreli district’s biggest Khodiyar dam achieved 100% storage

Amreli: Amreli district’s biggest dam, Khodiyar dam in Dhari area has achieved full reservioir level of 202.68 m, meaning 100 percent water storage on August 16.
The dam is located near Galadhara Khodiyar mandir of Dhari over river Shetrunji. The dam is 100 percent full, and one gate is opened for release of surplus water which is 400 cusecs as off 7 am on 17 August. The villagers in downstream are alerted against venturing into river bed.
In more good news to the district, Vadiya based Survo dam is 85% full while Rajula’s Dhatarvadi dam is 72% full of water. However Thebi dam has only 26% and Vadi dam has only 10% water left. DeshGujarat
