August 21, 2024
Navsari: A 260-meter-long PSC bridge over National Highway 48 at Navsari was completed for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project on 18th August 2024.
The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train corridor crosses National Highway 48 between Delhi and Chennai (passing through Gujarat and Maharashtra) at Amadpore village in Navsari district via an elevated viaduct.
This 260-meter-long bridge is the first PSC Balanced Cantilever bridge completed over the highway using the SBS (Span by Span) method.
The bridge, located between the Surat and Bilimora Bullet Train stations, comprises 104 segments and features a span configuration of 50m + 80m + 80m + 50m.
Given that NH 48 is one of the busiest highways in the country, the launching of the bridge was executed with meticulous planning and precision to ensure minimal disruption to traffic, said the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited. DeshGujarat
