Ahmedabad: Thunderstorm, moderate to heavy rain was experienced in the city of Ahmedabad today (Thursday, 22 August) at around noon. Such rainfall occured after a long break in the city. Water logging is reported in parts of the city that are located in low lying areas. Two underpasses – Mithakhali and Akhbarnagar were shut for traffic for a while due to water logging. The highest rainfall as per the ward-wise data of AMC, was received in Chandkheda area. One gate of Vasna barrage was opened for smooth discharge of rainwater. The rainfall stopped by 1 pm. An electric bus of AMC was stuck at Vijaynagar crossing. It was shifted from the site with the help of towing vehicle.  DeshGujarat
