Vadodara: Lok Sabha member of Vadodara has demanded construction of flyover bridge over Alkapuri underpass and also demanded extention of Ahmedabad – Okha Vande Bharat Express train to Vadodara.

In a meeting hosted by Western Railway’s General Manager Ashok Kumar Mishra with all members of parliament from across Gujarat, Vadodara Lok Sabha member Dr. Hemang Joshi said Alkapuri railway underpass connects Vadodara city’s East and West parts. This underpass needs to be shut for traffic even when there’s just moderate rainfall. The people suffer great difficulties and face traffic jam due to this. Therefore this underpass should be replaced with an over bridge.

Joshi also demanded Vande Bharat Express train connecting Vadodara to Shirdi. He also demanded that Ahmedabad – Okha Vande Bharat Express train should be extended to Vadodara for the benefit of Krishna bhakts of Vadodara and surrounding areas.

Joshi demanded construction of overbridge at Akota – Dandiyabajar replacing underpass here. He demanded timely compensation for land for farmers of Angadh-Sindhrot area. He demanded stoppage of Vadodara-Godhra train at Alindra station. He demanded extention of Vadodara – Gorakhpur train upto Chhapra. He also demanded construction of service road next to the over bridge at Angadh village.
