Gujarat CM announces ‘important decision regarding impact fee’
August 24, 2024
Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today made some announcements regarding the impact fee to encourage a response to the Gujarat Regularization of Unauthorized Development Act (GRUDA) 2022.
CM Patel in a tweet announced, “Unauthorized constructions in non-residential areas within rural areas using up to 4.5 FSI can now be regularized. Provisions have been made to regularize unauthorized constructions by charging a fee for parking shortfalls up to 2000 sq. meters for unauthorized residential use and up to 1000 sq. meters for unauthorized non-residential use.”
“Previously, it was mandatory to provide 50% of the required parking space within the plot or within a 500-meter radius, and for the remaining 50% parking shortfall, a fee was collected under the Gujarat Unauthorized Development Regularization Act, 2022 to regularize the construction. The current provision allowed the regularization of unauthorized construction by collecting this parking regularization fee,” the tweet added.
“This decision has been made with the aim of ensuring a broad response to the Gujarat Regularization of Unauthorized Development Act (GRUDA) 2022, so that more people can benefit from this legislation. These important decisions will soon be implemented following the necessary regulatory procedures,” CM Patel further said.
