4 lakh cusecs+ discharge from Narmada dam; Kadana 70%+ full; Updates of dams in Gujarat at 3 pm

Narmada: As of 3 PM on Monday, there is over 4 lakh cusecs of discharge from the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam, the largest dam in Gujarat. The number of gates opened has increased to 23, up from 15 that were open at 9 AM. Meanwhile, over 2.4 lakh cusecs of water is being released from the second-largest dam, Ukai, which has 15 gates open as of 3 PM. Kadana, the state’s third-largest dam, is over 70 percent full and is getting further richer lately with an inflow of over 2.4 lakh cusecs.
The Sardar Sarovar Dam is over 88% full, with the current water level at 135.20 meters, compared to its full level of 138.68 meters. Ukai is over 80% full and has also crossed the rule level of 102.11 meters on or before September 1.
Another dam in South Gujarat, Damanganga, is also getting an inflow of 56,000 cusec, while around 69,000 cusec of water is being relied upon downstrem with its 10 gates open.
