Flash flood risk for Vadodara, Surat, Bharuch, Valsad etc areas on Tuesday: IMD bulletin

Vadodara: Flash flood possibility for certain areas of Gujarat regions including Vadodara is issued by the India Meteorological Department(IMD), the weather department of the Government of India for the period upto Tuesday, 3rd September evening.
According to IMD bulletin issued by its Hydronmet Division arm Flash flood guidance cell, Dadara & Naagar Haveli, Daman, Aravalli, Bharuch, Chhota Udepur, Dahod, Dangs, Mahisagar, Narmada, Navsari, Panchmahal, Sabarkantha, Surat, Tapi, Vadodara and Valsad are the districts that have low to moderate flash flood risk likely during next 24 hours (till 5.30 pm on 3rd September).
Surface runoff/inundation may occur at some fully saturated soils & low-lying areas over AoC as shown in the map due to expected rainfall occurence in this period, the bulletin further stated. It’s worth noting that parts of Gujarat are under red, orange and yellow alerts for two days as per another bulletin by IMD. DeshGujarat
