Ahmedabad: City Police Commissioner G.S. Malik has suspended Police Inspector B.D. Gohil of Ranip Police Station for negligence in duty.
A woman petitioner had approached the Ranip Police three times regarding her shop, but no action was taken, which prompted Commissioner Malik to take strict action and remove Inspector Gohil from duty.
The applicant had submitted three applications to the Ranip Police Station, alleging that despite a court case concerning the property, another person was threatening to damage the shop. However, no action was taken by the police. The applicant continued to inform the police, but the applications were not addressed, and no action was taken. Later, she approached the Police Commissioner with a written application.
Acting on that, the Commissioner suspended Inspector Gohil for his inaction. In a briefing regarding this, Commissioner Malik stated that due to suspicious activities, Inspector Gohil has been suspended and that strict action will be taken against anyone found misusing their position. DeshGujarat
