Road to Ahmedabad railway station in Kalupur area declared closed for 3 years period

Ahmedabad: The city police commissioner has announced the closure of a key road leading to the Ahmedabad railway station at Kalupur for a period of three years, from September 11, 2024, to September 10, 2027.

According to the notification, one side of a 200-meter stretch of road from Sarangpur Circle to Kalupur railway station will be closed to traffic, while the opposite side lane will be converted to a one-way road.

The police commissioner has suggested three alternative routes:

-Traffic from Sarangpur Circle to Kalupur railway station should proceed via Sindhi Bazar and Panchkuva and by taking a right turn from there to go to the entry gate of Kalupur railway station. Traffic to Kalupur will follow this route and then continue via Motimahal Hotel Road.

-Traffic traveling from Kalupur to Sarangpur, Raypur, Kankariya, and Gita Mandir should use the one-way lane on the Kalupur-Sarangpur road.

-The old entry gate to the Kalupur railway station will remain open for passengers. A footbridge and a new 30-foot road, being constructed by Dineshchandra R Agrawal Company as part of the Kalupur railway station redevelopment project, will facilitate passengers wishing to exit the railway station on the western side.DeshGujarat
