Surat: In yet another case of Love Jihad, Mahidarpura police on Wednesday arrested 25-year-old Mohammad Noor Babu Saiyed from Hyderabad in Telangana for abducting a 13-year-old Hindu girl from Surat on August 12 and allegedly raping her.

The accused, Noor Babu Saiyed, lured the minor with the promise of marriage on August 12. Investigations revealed that Saiyed, originally from Purnia district in Bihar, had been working as a zari worker in Surat for the past five years. After abducting the girl, the accused took her to various locations, including Bihar, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, frequently changing locations and ultimately finding work as a laborer in Hyderabad.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-3) Pinakin Parmar stated that the police tracked down Saiyed and the girl in a house in Hyderabad using technical and human surveillance.
