BJP Corporator Himanshu Wala disqualified from AMC Legal Committee for absences

Ahmedabad: BJP Corporator from Vasna Ward No. 31, Himanshu Wala, has been removed from his position as a member of the Legal Committee of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).

After the corporator was absent for two consecutive committee meetings, a proposal was made to disqualify him from the committee. Despite being informed by the chairman and party leader to attend the meetings, he did not show up, leading to his disqualification and removal from membership in accordance with the rules of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.

Gaurang Prajapati, the BJP party leader of the AMC, told the media “Himanshu Vala has been removed from the Legal Committee due to his absences. He cited a lack of time due to personal reasons as the reason for not attending the meetings.”

In response, Himanshu Vala stated that he could not attend the committee meetings for personal reasons and that he was currently unaware of his removal from membership.

Due to his two-month absence, as per the Corporation’s policy rules, a proposal was submitted for his removal from membership. In the general meeting scheduled for next Friday, an announcement will be made regarding the appointment of a new member in place of Himanshu. DeshGujarat
