Orange alert for very heavy rains in these parts of Gujarat till Sept 27; Here’s IMD Forecast

Ahmedabad: As the monsoon draws to a close, another spell of heavy rain is affecting Gujarat, with parts of the South Gujarat’s Valsad district experiencing heavy rainfall on Monday.

The latest forecast from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for the next four days in some parts of Gujarat, predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall.

According to the IMD, Valsad, Daman, Dadar Nagar Haveli, Narmada, Surat, Dang, Navsari, and Tapi are under an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rain in the next 24 hours.

On September 25th, Dang, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, and Dadar Nagar Haveli are under an orange alert, while a yellow warning has been issued for Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Amreli, Bhavnagar, and Gir Somnath.

On September 26th, Surat, Tapi, Navsari, Dang, Valsad, Daman, Dadar Nagar Haveli, Amreli, and Bhavnagar are under an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rain. Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Bharuch, Narmada, Botad, Gir Somnath, and Diu are under a yellow warning for heavy rain.

On September 27th, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadar Nagar Haveli, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and Diu are under an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rain. Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Dang, Tapi, Rajkot, Junagadh, and Botad are under a yellow warning for heavy rain.

On September 28th, only a yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued for Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Amreli, and Bhavnagar.

Southwest monsoon has further withdrawn from some more parts of Rajasthan & Gujarat, some parts of Punjab & Haryana today, the 24th September, 2024.
