Shetrunji dam in Bhavnagar achieves 100 percent storage

Bhavnagar: With heavy to very heavy rains this week in Bhavnagar district, Shetrunji dam which is considered a lifeline of Bhavnagar city and district has achieved top level at 5 am today. Shetrunji with design capacity of 346.48 mcm is 100 percent full as of 7 am today with water at its top level of 55.53 m. As the dam is full, the surplus water which was 1800 cusecs at 7 pm was being discharged in river by opening 20 gates in 0.30 m gap. DeshGujarat
