9 laborers die during construction work in factory unit near Kadi

Mahesana: 9 laborers died due to the collapse of a wall while working at the Stellinox Stainless Private Ltd unit in Jasalpur village of Kadi taluka in North Gujarat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel announced relief amounts and expressed grief over these deaths. According to an eyewitness, 10 persons were buried under the soil while working at the construction site. Of them, one Vinod managed to come out and survive, while 9 others died. The work was going on around 15 feet below the surface within the factory shed. The bodies were recovered using a JCB machine and sent for postmortem. Vinod, the only survivor blamed engineer Kaushik Parmar for this tragedy. Vinod said, he had led attention but Kaushik didn’t listen and instructed to continue the work.
