Gujarat CM e-launches Rs 564 crore infrastructure projects of GIDC

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today performed the e-foundation laying and e-inauguration of several key infrastructure development projects initiated by the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC). The total value of these projects is ₹564 crore, aimed at ensuring efficient water supply and road networks across various industrial estates in Gujarat.
Under the PM MITRA Park scheme, a project worth ₹352 crore has been launched to establish a 65 MLD water supply system at the proposed Textile Park in Moje: Vansi, Navsari District. This initiative aims to provide essential water infrastructure to support the region’s growing textile industry. Additionally, at the Sanand-2 Industrial Estate, a ₹21 crore project is underway to construct a 174 ML water storage tank for industrial use. In the Saikha-B Industrial Estate, a ₹22 crore project is focused on upgrading the existing water supply infrastructure in the Mixed-Use Zone. Similarly, at the Panoli Industrial Estate, a ₹23 crore project is dedicated to enhancing the current water supply system. Collectively, these water infrastructure projects amount to ₹418 crore and are vital for meeting the increasing water demands of Gujarat’s industrial sector.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also inaugurated several road network and infrastructure projects across various GIDC estates. A ₹100 crore project will develop the road network for the Ceramic Park at Jambudia-Panelli. A ₹39 crore project is set to enhance the road network at the Khirsara-2 Industrial Estate. Additionally, a ₹7 crore project will improve both road and water supply infrastructure at the Quas-Ichhapur Industrial Estate. These road infrastructure projects, totaling ₹146 crore, will enhance connectivity and facilitate efficient transportation within these industrial zones.
The ceremony took place on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, coinciding with Udyog Sahasikta Diwas (Entrepreneurship Day).
In his address during the inauguration, CM Patel stated, “The development of robust infrastructure is the backbone of industrial growth. These projects, worth ₹564 crore, reflect our government’s commitment to ensuring that Gujarat remains a leading destination for industries. By enhancing water supply and connectivity across key industrial zones, we are laying a strong foundation for future investments and sustainable development, further boosting the state’s economic prosperity.” DeshGujarat
