10 candidates in fray in Vav assembly by-election

Gandhinagar: After the last date of withdrawal of nomination, 10 candidates are left in fray in Vav assembly seat by-poll which is caused by resignation of Lok Sabha member from Congress party, Geniben Thakor. The main fight will be between the Congress candidate and former Tharad MLA Gulabsinh Rajput and former and current candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party Swarupji Thakor. Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party’s rebel candidate Mavjibhai Patel is third candidate who is news. In order to unite the Thakor community voters, another rebel BJP candidate Bharaji Thakor withdrew his nomination. Two lady candidates Laxmiben Thakor and Manjuben Rathod extended their support to Mavjibhai. However both of them didn’t withdraw their nomination forms. DeshGujarat
