AMC announces Rs 41.81 crore development initiative; Food park to come up in Thaltej

Ahmedabad: The city civic body has announced a series of projects, including an upcoming large food park in the Thaltej area. As part of its urban development initiatives, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will build a food court on Final Plot Number 188 of TP Scheme 37 with an investment of Rs 4.13 crore.
Additionally, AMC plans to build a dedicated gym for women in the Bodakdev area, which will be the first of its kind, costing around Rs 3.74 crore. Located on Final Plot Number 122 of TP Scheme 215 in the Ambli area, the gym will provide a safe and supportive space for women to focus on their fitness goals.
As part of its Rs 41.81 crore development plan, AMC has announced tenders for several projects, including a Rs 3.83 crore urban health centre and a Rs 4.85 crore open party plot in Chandlodia. Dev City Lake will be revamped with Rs 3.95 crore, and Rs 3.35 crore has been allocated for Tragad Oxygen Park. Yadudi Lake will be beautified with Rs 78 lakh. The Gota Science City area will see a Rs 3.88 crore urban health centre and Rs 4.03 crore community library. Other projects include a senior citizen park, open party plots, and lake conservation efforts across various areas.
Contractors have until December 3 to submit bids for Rs 41 crore worth of tenders, with project approvals set for December 5. DeshGujarat
