Very heavy vehicles banned on Bharuch Narmada Maiya bridge

Bharuch: Movement of very heavy vehicles has been banned on the Narmada Maiya bridge, which is located in Bharuch district over the river Narmada. The bridge, which was opened for traffic on 12 June 2021, parallel to the age-old Golden Bridge, has witnessed several minor and major accidents since its opening, especially at night due to heavy vehicles such as private buses and trucks.
The bridge that connects Bharuch to Ankleshwar is, through a notification, banned for movements of very heavy vehicles during the 5 November to 4 February period of three months for now. DeshGujarat
