Over 61 lakh people visited 16 tourist destinations in Gujarat during Diwali vacation 2024

Gandhinagar: Local and foreign tourists are equally attracted to Gujarat’s tourism sector, a trend that became more evident during the Diwali holidays this year. From October 26 to November 15, 2024, 61,70,716 people visited 16 tourist attractions and pilgrimage sites across the state.

Famous attractions and pilgrimage sites in Gujarat, such as the Statue of Unity, Atal Bridge, Riverfront Flower Park, Kankaria Lake, Pavagadh Temple, Ambaji Temple, Girnar Ropeway, Science City, Vadnagar, Somnath Temple, Dwarka Temple, Nadabet, Modhera Sun Temple, Smritivan, Gir Jungle Safari, Devalia Jeep & Bus Safari, and the Dandi Memorial, witnessed a large influx of tourists. More than five and a half lakh tourists visited various attractions within the Kankaria premises in Ahmedabad, while over 13 lakh people visited Dwarka, one of Gujarat’s most famous pilgrimage destinations.
