Western Railway proposes to set up 36 new railway stations in Gujarat

Vadodara: Western Railways had proposed to build several new railway stations including 36 in Gujarat for which approval has been sought from the Railway Board.

Maximum of the new railway stations proposed to be set up in Gujarat are 10 on Chhota Udepur – Dhar railway line, 16 on Dahod – Zabua – Dhar – Indore railway line, 4 on Naliya – Jakhau port railway line.

Western Railway has also sought the Railway Board’s approval to set up 1 new railway station each on Modasa -Shamlaji road and Bhimnath – Dholera route. The proposed railway station at Shamlaji if approved, would be useful for further road journey to Udaipur – Shrinathji. DeshGujarat
