Surat: The release of the booklet “Sarvasva Shri Ram”, based on the 64 divine qualities of Lord Shri Ram, by the Hindu Spiritual and Service Organization, was held on Sunday at the J B Auditorium in AMA.
Addressing the event, S. Gurumurthy (Founder Trustee, HSSF) mentioned that when the Hindu Spiritual and Service Organization was started on a small scale in Chennai, he had no idea it would grow to such a large scale. He emphasized that Hindu ideology does not consider anyone an enemy, and Hindu gods do not regard anyone as an enemy. Hindus do not force anyone to convert, and the world acknowledges that Hindus have a very positive outlook. Addressing the current environmental crisis, he referred to the teachings of the Isha Upanishad, which suggest that we should take only as much as we need, leaving the rest for others.
Referring to the Virata Parva of the Mahabharata, S. Gurumurthy mentioned, “The tiger will remain safe as long as the forest is secure, and the forest will remain safe as long as the tiger is protected.” He highlighted that Hindu culture is all-encompassing, and the Hindu Spiritual and Service Mela is not just about showcasing the services of Hindu institutions, but also about demonstrating the Hindu way of thinking that we live by in our daily lives.
Gunwant Singhji Kothari (National Coordinator, Hindu Spiritual and Service Organization), Jagdish Vishwakarma (Minister of State, Gujarat Government), Bhagyash Jha (President, Gujarat Sahitya Parishad), Sandeep Engineer (Chairman, Astral Group), Pujya Swamini Dhyananandaji (Arsh Vidyamandir, Rajkot), Mahendra Patel (Chairman, Lincoln Pharma), Tulsiram Tekvani (President, Hindu Spiritual and Service Organization, Gujarat), and Ghanshyambhai Vyas (Secretary, Hindu Spiritual and Service Organization, Gujarat) were also present at the event.
Dr. Bhagyash Jha, President of the Gujarat Sahitya Akademi, spoke about the goals of the organization and the Mela, referring to the Valmiki Ramayana.
