Gujarat ATS nabs two men with weapons near Ahmedabad Civil Hospital

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) has arrested two individuals from the Ahmedabad Civil Hospital compound in the Asarwa area for carrying weapons. The accused were found with two pistols and six rounds of ammunition. The individuals were reportedly carrying the weapons to take revenge for a previous murder. Both accused are residents of Botad. They have been arrested, and further investigation is underway.

The Gujarat ATS arrested the accused, Munaf Mankad and Tausif Vora, while they were sitting on the sidewalk between the in-gate and out-gate of U.N. Mehta Institute of Cardiology & Research Centre, located within the Civil Hospital campus.

Munaf is facing eight criminal cases, and Tausif is facing seven. Two years ago, Munaf and his brother Mohsin were traveling on a bike when two individuals, Siraj Don and Afzal, opened fire and killed Mohsin. It is learnt that both Munaf and Tausif had been carrying weapons in an attempt to take revenge for the murder. DeshGujarat
