January 13, 2025
Bharuch: An incident has come to light involving the Vice Principal of St. Xavier’s School in Bharuch, Father Kamlesh Rawal. He has been booked by the police on charges of sexually abusing a minor girl student, after she filed a complaint.
According to the police complaint filed by the girl’s parents, the abuse occurred on two separate occasions between 2022 and 2024. The complaint alleges that Father Kamlesh called the 10th-grade student to his office on both occasions and sexually abused her.
The victim, fearing for her reputation, remained silent about the abuse. However, in December 2024, during a school gathering, the girl encountered Father Kamlesh again. He allegedly targeted her once more and sent her sexually suggestive WhatsApp messages.
Following the complaint, the police have registered a case against Father Kamlesh under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Investigations are currently underway. DeshGujarat
