Rough import of labgrown diamonds was Rs. 380.79 crore in November which increased to Rs. 577.60 crore in December. Thin size diamonds are in demand in the new year and Valendine day season.
This growth is attributed to increased demand for both natural and lab-grown diamonds, driven by the holiday season and Valentine’s Day. The import of rough diamonds also increased in December, indicating a rise in manufacturing activity.
The recent uptick in diamond exports has instilled optimism in the industry. The industry is hopeful that the positive trend will continue in the coming months. DeshGujarat
