Traffic Restrictions for Jetalpur and Lalbagh Bridges in Vadodara

Vadodara: The Vadodara City Police Commissioner has announced traffic restrictions on the Jetalpur and Lalbagh bridges starting from January 17, 2025, to February 17, 2025, to facilitate resurfacing and maintenance work.
A notification issued by the Police Commissioner states that, as per the Vadodara Mahanagar Sevasadan Bridge/Nala Division, resurfacing and maintenance work, including mastic asphalt application, will be carried out on the Jetalpur and Lalbagh bridges during this period. As part of the operation, entry of all types of vehicles on both bridges will be restricted.
According to Police Commissioner Narasimha Komar, alternative traffic arrangements have been made to minimize inconvenience to commuters.
Jetalpur Bridge
Restrictions: Vehicular movement from Chakli Circle to Vallabh Chowk Circle and Jetalpur Bridge towards Bhimnath Naka will be prohibited.
Alternatives: Vehicles can use the Jetalpur Bridge Underpass, Alkapuri Garnala Underpass, or Akota-Dandiyabazar Bridge.
Lalbagh Bridge
Restrictions:
- Vehicular movement from Avadhut Gate to Lalbagh Bridge is prohibited.
- Traffic from T-Point to Pratapnagar via Lalbagh Bridge is restricted.
Alternatives: From Avadhut Gate, commuters can use routes via Manjalpur Crematorium, Saraswati Four Roads, or Tulsidham. Vehicles can also take routes via Motibag Cannon or Shreyas School to bypass Lalbagh Bridge.
The restrictions aim to ensure the safety of commuters and the smooth execution of the project. The Commissioner has requested citizens to cooperate and follow the alternative routes during the maintenance period.
