Hindu Spiritual & Service Fair to take place in Karnavati from Jan 23-26; over 200 organizations to participate

Ahmedabad: The Hindu Spiritual & Service Fair (HSSF), also known as Hindu Adhyatmik Seva Mela, will be held from January 23 to 26 at the Gujarat University Ground near GMDC headquarters. The fair will remain open for public visits from 10 am to 8 pm.

Family and human values will be the central theme of this fair, which is taking place for the second time in Gujarat. The fair will be participated in by over 200 religious and social service organizations. They will share the details of the services provided by them.

The fair will feature a Yagna Shala, where seven different havans will take place over the span of four days. There will be a tribal village exhibiting the culture of tribal and forest areas. In the exhibition section, there will be displays on six principles, family management, family values, Garbhadhan Samskar, Punyashlok Ahilya Devi and her 300th birth anniversary, armed forces, and science-linked audiovisual and 3D animation galleries. In the Mandir Parisar, live darshan of some top temples and replicas of various temples will be displayed.

The fair will be opened by union minister Amit Shah in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in the presence of Swami Parmatmanand Saraswatiji (secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Acharya Sabha and head of Shivananda Ashram and Arsh Vidhyamandir), HSSF national coordinator Gunvantsinhji Kothari, Nimark Pith Limbdi’s Lalit Kishordasji Maharaj, SGVP Chharodi’s Madhavpriyadasji, Chinmay Mission, Chennai’s MItranandji, Agrawal Group’s Chimanlal Agrawal, filmmaker Chandraprakash Dwivedi (Chanakya), and Gujarat University’s Vice Chancellor Dr. Neerja Gupta. RSS leader Suresh (Bhaiyaji) Joshi will be the main speaker of this event.

The cultural event will be performed by Sairam Dave with patriotic songs, while actor Archan Trivedi will hold Parivarik Ram Sabha.

The sessions include ‘Youth for Nation’ by Chandrapakash Dwivedi (Chanakya), Vijaybapu (Satadhar), and Mitranandji (Chinmay Mission – Chennai); ‘Young Entrepreneurs’ Contribution in Bharat Renaissance by RSS leader Sureshji Joshi (Bhaiyaji) on Thursday, January 23.

On Friday, January 24, minister Mulubhai Bera, ISKCON mandir Vrindavan’s Vishnunamdasprabhu, and Kamijala-based Jankidasji Guruji Dwadka Dasji will attend the session of Mahishasur Mardini—Acharya Vandan.

On January 25, the session of Kanya Vandan will be attended by Minister Bhanuben Babariya, VC of Ambedkar University Dr. Ami Upadhyay, and spiritual leader Dr. Vageshkumarji of Kankroli. On the same day, Ma Dikri Sammelan and the drama show will be attended by Sadhvi Maitri Ratnaji, MLA Rivaba Jadeja, and All India Women President of Unjha Umiya Mataji Sanstha Dr. Jagrutiben Patel.

On Sunday, 26 January, Matru Pitru Vandan and Samyukt Parivar Sanman will be held in the presence of Gyaneshwardevacharyaji Maharaj, Govindbhai Dholakiya (Rajya Sabha MP), and Becharbhai Gamara (Sahajanand Builders). The concluding function will be held on the same day in the presence of Dwarkeshlalji Vaishnavacharya of Kalyan Pushti Haveli and Santprasad Swami (Halol).

Pre-fair programs have already been ongoing from November to January. During the mela, events like the Kalash Yatra, youth bike rally, Kanya Vandan, Acharya Vandan, Matru-Pitru Vandan, gatherings including youth gatherings, Indian traditional sports activities and competitions, and evening cultural programs will take place.

As many as 31 HSS fairs have been organized across 14 states so far. Four more fairs are being organized in January 2025. Over 2,500 religious and social organizations have participated in such fairs to date. DeshGujarat
