Robofest Gujarat 4.0 finale to be held at Gujarat Science City from Jan 21–24

Ahmedabad: The finale of the country’s largest robotics competition, Robofest Gujarat 4.0, will be held at Gujarat Science City from January 21 to 24.
In Robofest Gujarat 4.0, seven types of robots, developed by students from STEM institutions under GUJCOST, have been included in different categories. These categories include two-wheeled self-balancing robots, submarines or underwater robots, rovers, hexapod robots, swarm robots, fun robotics: maze-solving robots, and application-based robots.
A total of 1,284 teams from across the country have registered to participate in Robofest Gujarat 4.0. Out of them, 169 teams were selected as winners of the first-level competition. From these 169 teams, 100 Proof of Concepts from all 7 categories of the RoboMaking Competition have been selected for the finale of Robofest Gujarat 4.0.
Renowned universities and scientific institutions, providing education in the field of robotics engineering and technology, including prestigious IITs and NITs, have participated in this robot-making competition.
The finale of Robofest Gujarat 4.0 will include a robotic gallery walkthrough, exhibitions, interaction with domain experts, and demonstrations. All 100 teams will showcase their prototypes, promoting the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among the youth involved in the sector.
Additionally, 500 students, mentors, experts, and industry representatives will participate in the grand finale. As part of Robofest Gujarat 4.0, around 5,000 students from across the state will visit Science City to witness cutting-edge innovations in robotics. A unique exhibition of robo-prototypes will also be held alongside the competition.
The Grand Finale of Robofest Gujarat 4.0 was inaugurated by Ms. Mona Khandhar, Principal Secretary, Department of Science and Technology; GUJCOST Advisor Dr. Narottam Sahu; Director of SAC-ISRO Mr. Nilesh Desai; Vice Chancellor of GTU Dr. Rajul Gajjar; and Chairman of the Technical Advisory Committee of Robofest Gujarat 4.0, Mr. Debanik Roy, in the presence of Mr. Manish Gurwani, Executive Director of Gujarat Science City.
