VMC in Vadodara proposes iconic flyover at Susen Junction

Vadodara: Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has sought approval from the State government for construction of Rs. 154.13 crore Susen Junction iconic flyover. The work on this bridge will proceed after approval from the State government.
Under the scheme of Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana, five bridges are approved under Rs. 270 crore grant of the year 2019-20 whic incude flyovers at Vrundavan char rasta, Sardar Estate, Sama Talav, Khodiyar Junction and Vasna char. The approval for Sushen Junction flyover has been sought under the provisions of year 2023-24.
A Rs. 67 crore new bridge is going to be constructed over Gaukhana distributary canal which would cross a 30 meter road connecting Sun Pharma road to Bhayli (near Bil village) from year 2022-23 grant. VMC is also going to widen the bridge over river Vishwamitri in Kalaghoda area for the cost of Rs. 25 crore. VMC has also proposed for approval before Sardar Sarovar Narmada NIgam Ltd for construction of new culvert and widening works over Narmada canal on Sama Savli road at a cost of Rs. 7 crore.
