AUDA floats two tenders for SP Ring Road six-laning project

Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) on Saturday invited requests for proposals for converting the 76-km-long four-lane Sardar Patel Ring Road (SP Ring Road) into a six-lane road. The total cost of the project is estimated to be Rs 2,200 crore.
AUDA has floated tenders for two packages. Package 1, with an estimated cost of Rs 848 crore, covers a 37-km stretch in the eastern area, while Package 2, worth Rs 893 crore, is for a 39-km stretch in the western area.
Additionally, the development of service roads is planned, where the existing two-lane and three-lane service roads will be expanded to four lanes. The project, slated for completion by 2026, will also include the construction of footpaths and green zones. DeshGujarat
