Which types of institutions are covered under this Act?

This Act covers hospitals, maternity homes, nursing homes, dispensaries, clinics, and sanatoriums that provide medical services essential for the diagnosis, treatment, or care of illness, injury, physical disability, or pregnancy under any recognized medical system.

Additionally, the provisions of this Act apply to medical institutions offering pathological, bacteriological, genetic, radiological, chemical, or biological examinations, as well as other diagnostic services conducted using laboratory or medical equipment.
