Ahmedabad : The city civic body today carried out a demolition drive against illegal encroachments in the Dariyapur area of the city. The Estate Department of the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) demolished over 100 huts, shops, and other encroachments, including lorries and shops built illegally on roads and government land.

Locals were upset with the demolition and claimed that no prior notice was given to them before the removal of the roadside encroachments. DeshGujarat
