CBSE board exams begin with 75,000 students appearing across Gujarat

Ahmedabad: The board exams for Class 10 and Class 12 under the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) began today. In Gujarat, over 75,000 students will be appearing for these exams, out of a total of 42 lakh students across the country.
Out of these 75,000 students registered for the board exams in the state, 43,000 are from Class 10, while 32,000 are appearing for the Class 12 exams. The number of students appearing in boards has increased compared to last year, when 69,000 students from Gujarat took the exams.
The CBSE is conducting exams in 26 countries, including India, covering 204 subjects across both grades. For Class 10 students, the English exam is scheduled for today, while Class 12 students who have opted for Entrepreneurship will appear for their exam. The exams will conclude on March 18 for Class 10 and on April 4 for Class 12.
Meanwhile, CBSE has enforced a dress code as per which the regular students must wear their school uniforms, and private candidates can opt for any suitable attire. DeshGujarat
