Bharuch: Two teenagers who broke into Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat bungalow in 2023 have been arrested again, with one of them now held by the B Division police of Bharuch in connection with a theft at the residence of a retired army jawan in Mona Park Society.
A theft complaint was registered at the B Division Police Station regarding unknown miscreants breaking into the house of retired army officer Siraj Mehta in Mona Park Society, Bharuch, and stealing eight tolas of gold, silver, and cash worth ₹2.5 lakh. In response, PI R.M. Vasava of B Division Police Station formed special teams, analyzed CCTV footage, and conducted a search operation. Based on intelligence, the police arrested the two culprits, Ramswaroop Sukhraj Kushwaha (21), hailing from Amod, and Minhaz Sindha.
The police recovered the stolen property worth ₹2.74 lakh from the accused and are carrying out further legal proceedings. During interrogation, Kushwaha revealed details about how he, along with another person, entered Shah Rukh Khan’s house in March 2023, what they did there, and what happened afterward.
It is learned that Kushwaha told the police that he is a huge fan of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan. A year ago, he had gone to Mumbai with his friend, but Shah Rukh was not present at home. “Around 2:30 a.m., under the cover of darkness, we climbed a tree near the bungalow and entered the premises by descending from a coconut tree, which even tore our clothes. Since renovation work was ongoing at Mannat at the time, scaffolding made of bamboo was in place. We climbed it and reached the third floor, where we saw several photographs of Shah Rukh Khan. Seeing them, we fell asleep in the room. The next morning, housekeepers spotted us. When questioned, we told them we had only come to see Shah Rukh Khan. Surprisingly, they even showed us Shah Rukh Khan on a video call. After this incident, we were arrested for illegally trespassing into the home of a film star, and legal action was taken against us.”
At that time, the Bandra Police had probed the matter and did not find any malicious intent in Pathan Sahil Salim Khan (18) and Kushwaha, who was 19 at the time. They were released after their parents secured their bail. DeshGujarat
