PM Modi to release 19th PM-KISAN instalment; Over 51.41 lakh Gujarat farmers to get ₹1,148 crore

Gandhinagar: The 19th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme will be released for farmers across the country during the National Kisan Samman Samaroh, to be held in Bihar in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 24th.
Accordingly, a state-level Kisan Samman Samaroh will be held in Gandhinagar on February 24, presided over by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. During the ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the farmers virtually through a live telecast.
Agriculture Minister Raghavji Patel stated that under the 19th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme, more than 9.7 crore farmers across the country will receive assistance of over ₹22,000 crore. Of this, more than 51.41 lakh farmer families in Gujarat will receive financial aid exceeding ₹1,148 crore, directly deposited into their bank accounts.
At the state-level event, the Chief Minister will e-launch the new Krishi Pragati-Command and Control Center at Krishi Bhavan, Gandhinagar. This center, equipped with the latest technology, aims to enhance agricultural operations. Additionally, the purchase of tur crops at the minimum support price (MSP) across the state will be initiated. The Chief Minister, along with the Agriculture Minister, will also felicitate beneficiaries of various central and state agricultural schemes, progressive farmers, and award-winning farmers.
Moreover, Kisan Samman Samaroh events will be organized in rural areas and at 30 Krishi Vigyan Kendras across Gujarat, where both national and state-level programs will be broadcast live. More than 2.5 lakh farmers, along with office bearers and officials, are expected to participate. Exhibition stalls showcasing FPO and natural agricultural products will also be set up at the event venues.
Notably, under the PM-KISAN scheme, over 11 crore farmer families across India have received financial assistance totaling ₹3.46 lakh crore through 18 installments. Of this, Gujarat’s beneficiary farmer families have received over ₹18,813 crore directly in their bank accounts through 18 installments.
