Next election in Gujarat will be in Kadi

Gandhinagar: The next election in Gujarat will be in Kadi. Due to passing away of outgoing BJP MLA Karsanbhai Solanki, Kadi assembly seat is set to witness by-poll within next six months. With election pending here,VIP visits to Kadi have already kicked off. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today attended a Rajput community mass wedding function in Kadi. The function was organized by Chavda – Dabhi – Radhod Rajput Samaj.

In another development, former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Nitin Patel who belongs to Kadi has posted a social media post thanking the Chief Minister for allocating Rs. 40 crore grant for underground gutter project in Kadi and appointment of technical consultant for survey for same.

Ideally, Nitin Patel would be a perfect candidate for Kadi assembly seat, but he can’t contest here. Because Kadi seat is reserved for Schedule Caste (SC) candidates only. Though it doesn’t mean that Kadi has majority SC population. The area is dominated by Kadva Patel voters largely and Nitin Patel enjoys good influence here.
