SOG nabs two Bangladeshi nationals living illegally in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of the city police has arrested two Bangladeshi nationals for residing and working in the city illegally. The duo was caught at Pirana Crossroads as part of an ongoing drive against illegal Bangladeshi immigrants.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Munni Asad Sheikh (45), a resident of Bengaliwas near Chandola Lake, originally from Babupur village in Narail, Bangladesh, and Aujar Sattar Mandal (40), also residing near Chandola Lake, hailing from Jessore, Bangladesh.
During questioning at the SOG office, both admitted to entering India illegally without valid documents. It was also revealed that Sheikh had previously been detained at multiple police stations, including Naroda, Sabarmati, Ghatlodiya, and Vatva GIDC, in connection with temple thefts and house burglaries.
