Amit Shah begins 2-day Gujarat visit with darshan – pooja at Somnath Mandir

Prabhas Patan: Union Home Minister Amit Shah today began his two-day visit to his home state of Gujarat with darshan and pooja at the Somnath Mahadev Mandir. Shah arrived in Gir Somnath, accompanied by his wife, Sonalben Shah, and offered prayers with his family. He also performed Jalabhishek on Mahadev. Officials, including Range IG, welcomed him at the helipad. Minister Jagdish Vishwakarma and MP Rajesh Chudasama were also present.

Shah is on a two-day visit to Gujarat on March 8 and 9. During his tour, he will attend various religious, social, and developmental programs in Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Ahmedabad, and Gandhinagar. Today, he will also participate in an event for the restoration of a sugar mill in Talala and Kodinar. Later in the evening, he will attend the inauguration ceremony of various projects at Brahmanand Vidyadham in Junagadh.

On Sunday morning, Shah will take part in the birth anniversary celebrations of Jainacharya Buddhisagar Surishwar Maharaj and unveil a ₹150 commemorative coin. He will then attend the Swarnim Shatabdi Mahotsav of Ahmedabad District Bank. In the afternoon, he will administer the oath to newly enrolled lawyers at the Bar Council of Gujarat program in Adalaj. Later, he will inaugurate the Digital Seva Portal at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar and visit the Sashwat Mithila Foundation in Dabhoda.

Additionally, Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will launch 24 Gujarati books republished by Sastu Sahitya Mandir Trust (SSMT) on March 9. He is expected to return late at night. DeshGujarat
