Stray Dogs Kill Calves in Jabugam Village

Bodeli:  The problem of menacing stray dogs is not just about their attacks on humans, the problem is actually widespread as dogs have threatened biodiversity by not allowing other species to flourish. In a latest reported event, stray dogs in Jabugam village of Bodeli taluka have become increasingly aggressive, leading to the deaths of two calves. The incidents have sparked fear and concern among local livestock owners.

For several days, residents have reported violent attacks on their livestock, particularly calves and heifers tied in their yards at night. These attacks have resulted in fatalities, prompting villagers to alert the forest department.

Upon investigation, the forest department team inspected the animal tracks and concluded that the deaths were caused by dog attacks. This has created significant anxiety among the livestock owners of Jabugam.

“Our livestock are tied in our yards, and these repeated deaths have left us deeply worried,” said a local resident. “We are demanding that the village panchayat take immediate steps to control the stray dog menace.”

“The problem is getting worse, not better,” another villager stated. “We urge the relevant authorities to take this matter seriously and find a permanent solution.”
