Bharuch: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat has booked three individuals, including a Talati-cum-Minister, for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹8,000 for inheritance-related work in Shuklatirth Gram Panchayat, Bharuch district.
According to ACB, the complainant had been seeking inheritance documentation for the past 1.5 years but faced deliberate delays. Accused Umeshkumar Natvarbhai Patel (Talati-cum-Minister) allegedly demanded ₹8,000 and directed the complainant to hand over the money to Ravirajsinh alias Kenil Rajendrasinh Parmar, a Village Computer Entrepreneur (VCE), who then instructed Chiragbhai Mayukantbhai Trivedi (a private individual) to collect the bribe.
As the complainant was unwilling to pay the bribe, he contacted ACB, which laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed outside the Gram Panchayat office. DeshGujarat
