Ahmedabad-Viramgam Railway Overbridge Inaugurated; Foundation laid for two more bridges

New Delhi: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah virtually inaugurated development projects worth ₹146 crore in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar districts via video conferencing. He e-inaugurated a one-kilometer-long, four-lane railway overbridge built over the Ahmedabad-Viramgam railway line on the Sanand-Chekhla-Kadi road. This overbridge has been constructed at the railway gate near Munibawa’s Ashram on the outskirts of Nidhrad village in Sanand taluka.

The construction of this railway overbridge, connecting Sanand taluka with Kadi and Gandhinagar, has resolved traffic congestion and improved the transportation of goods for industries and factories in Sanand. On this occasion, the Union Minister also laid the foundation stone for a bridge near Chharodi Junction on the Chiloda-Gandhinagar-Sarkhej highway. Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for a new four-lane bridge on the Narmada Canal and the resurfacing work of the Moti Bhoyan-Vansjada-Vamaj road in Kalol taluka of Gandhinagar district.
