Make a list of anti-social elements, goons in next 100 hours: Gujarat Police Chief to Police Stations

Gandhinagar: With the aim of strengthening law and order in the state and taking strict action against anti-social elements, the State Police Chief, Vikas Sahay, held an urgent meeting today with all Police Commissioners, Range Heads, and Superintendents of Police through video conference. During the meeting, strict instructions were issued to prepare a list of anti-social elements in each police station area within the next 100 hours.
This decision, aimed at taking strict punitive action against anti-social elements, has been ordered for immediate implementation. It has also been clarified which individuals should be included in the list. The list will include repeat offenders involved in crimes against persons, extortion, intimidation, property-related offenses, illegal liquor and gambling businesses, mineral theft, and other anti-social activities.
State Police Chief Vikas Sahay has also given clear directives on the strict actions to be taken in coordination with the local administration after the list is prepared. These include:
- Removing illegal constructions in coordination with local authorities.
- Taking legal action against encroachments on government land.
- Coordinating with GUVNL to act against illegal electricity connections.
- Checking the bank accounts of listed individuals and taking action if any illegal transactions are found.
Additionally, strict measures have been ordered against individuals released on bail who are caught engaging in further illegal activities. This includes cancellation of bail and legal action against those who fail to register their tenancy. The effective provisions of PASA and Tadipar will also be enforced.
State Police Chief Vikas Sahay has directed all Police Commissioners, Range Chiefs, and Superintendents of Police to strictly comply with these orders and take necessary actions with personal attention. DeshGujarat
