Ahmedabad records a maximum temperature of 36.9°C, Rajkot hottest city in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: After crossing 40 degrees Celsius last week, the mercury has been staying normal this week, with a maximum temperature of 36.9°C recorded in the city on Monday. This was just marginally 0.1°C above normal. The minimum temperature stood at 21.7°C, 1.3°C higher than usual. The relative humidity at 08:30 IST was 23%, while it dropped to 17% by the evening. No rainfall was recorded.
As per the India Meteorological Department’s forecast, no change is likely in the temperature across Gujarat for the next five days.
Meanwhile, discomfort conditions due to hot and humid air are very likely to prevail over the coastal areas of the South Gujarat region and Saurashtra-Kutch from March 17 to March 21, 2025.
In other cities, Amreli saw a high of 37.4°C, slightly below normal, while Baroda and Bhavnagar experienced cooler-than-usual temperatures at 36.4°C and 34.7°C, respectively. Bhuj reported a maximum of 36.2°C, while Rajkot recorded the highest temperature in the state at 38.0°C.
Coastal areas such as Daman, Dwarka, and Okha reported mild temperatures, with Okha seeing a high of 31.0°C. Humidity levels remained high in Daman at 74% and Dwarka at 85% in the morning.
Naliya recorded one of the highest deviations from normal, with the maximum temperature reaching 37.2°C, 3.4°C above the usual range. Kandla also experienced a significant increase in temperature at 36.8°C, 3.0°C higher than normal. DeshGujarat
